Ep. 6 | Redefining Leadership For Women In The Workplace with Tamreen Arif
I am honoured to share my conversation with Tamreen today. Not only did she change the way I see myself in leadership, but she also challenged how I want to show up and deliver for other people.
I first encountered her when a friend invited me to one of their workshops at Inspire Her Society, a non-profit organization in Edmonton for women of which she is one of the founding members and the president. I honestly was caught off guard with how they had overdelivered for hours during that $20 workshop, with cheesecake by the way. I walked out with a fresh knowledge of myself and equipped with a defined leadership values of my own. I thought to myself then , wow it would be so nice to be part of them so I have been volunteering with them since.
In this episode I asked her about the story of Inspire Her, how they redefine the meaning of leadership especially for us women, why we don’t have to have a fancy position managing many people before we can call ourselves one and Tamreen shares her journey to finding and using her leadership values.
If you still don’t consider yourself as a leader, you might just think again after this.
